Hey guys,

Thank you all for the feedback. I ended, as per your suggestions, using a blank page as my home page. Not the most elegant way of doing it IMHO, but it does the trick. ;) My browsing experience has just been augmented!

Cheers,

Og

Just tried adblock on Epiphany again, it works better than it did last time, pretty impressive. The version I was trying was a pre-release so that could be why it was buggy.

What are you guys using for ad blocking in Epiphany? I've been a Epiphany zealot, but recently switched to Firefox because I can no longer deal with the full screen flash ads. I like flash and there are sites I use it for regularly, but I wish I could blacklist other sites. I'm using the userContent.css file from mozilla.org and that does a decent job blocking banner ads..

Leave your homepage blank. Now go to the page you want as your homepage and drag the page icon to the Gnome panel. There's your starter for Epiphany, starting with your new homepage.

I absolutely love Epiphany and have already convinced both my parents to use it instead of Firefox. The main thing I would like to see is perfect del.icio.us integration (Epilicious is a nice start but not quite there yet).

In regards to the homepage always opening when you open a new tab, the best solution I know of is setting the homepage to something like the following:

about:notarealthing

This will make it so that, when opening a new tab, you just get a grey background with no error messages/waiting for a page to load/needing to press Ctrl+L. Hope that helps. Cheers.
