@Og, I meant the deskbar applet: http://raphael.slinckx.net/deskbar/

It used to open with +Space

But I have not found a Command-Line option to force the applet to pop-up (the stand-alone thingy is too slow to load every time).

Do you have any idea to forward specific keyboard shortcuts to the normal gnome handler? (

I've been reading your posts on Planet Ubuntu and have been enjoying your screenshots. They always look very clean and nice, while still functional. Almost makes me want to try Openbox. Almost. ;)

Hi Og!

Nice post, I have been going through the same over the weekend: trying to get my computer life organized.

I have addressed this issue using Mozilla and Google products. Mozilla, since I endorse OpenSource and cross-platform applications, and Google because they pretty good centralized information management solutions. Google calendar lets me synchronize with Ligntning or Sunbird (Mozilla Calenar Solutions), allowing me to access my calendar from any computer connected to the internet (if I don't have Mozilla apps installed, I can just use the web). So much calendar entries.

As far as tasks go: I haven't been able to find a solution that will integrate nicely and go with me wherever I am. Especially tasks need to be accessible from any computer I am at, and I should be able to expect them to synchronize. I'm still looking into a task management solution that will integrate with Thunderbird, Lightning/Sunbird, and perhaps Google.

Cheers!
